The Power of Yoga to Transform
As a yoga teacher, I am often asked for stretches and things one can do to improve flexibility and release pain.
I also still hear this all the time…"I’m not flexible enough to do yoga.”
What yoga is to those who have never tried it or have never practiced consistently, is far different than what it is to those of us who have made it part of our lives and ourselves.
Yoga is a way of life.
My yoga mat feels like home.

Throughout the past 13+ years that I’ve been teaching yoga, and practicing consistently for over 15, I’m always still amazed at how magical this practice is and how it truly changes lives.
Yoga is so far beyond the physical, but the physical asana practice helps you get deeper into the mind and heart space which encourages such profound transformation.
Yoga is an unraveling of layers. It’s learning more about yourself every time you come to your mat.
Then, what you learn during your physical practice, you take off your mat with you.
The yoga never leaves you.
It’s always there. It’s a way of living. It’s learning to find comfort and patience in discomfort. It’s getting to know yourself on a deeper level.
Whether that’s a challenging asana (posture) or just sitting still in meditation while the thoughts want to keep moving in and out of your mind. The chatter of your day. Your to do list.
Or sitting in traffic, having a difficult conversation, or being present in a situation you’d rather not be in and knowing it’s temporary.
It’s honoring your emotions, understanding the ebb and flow of life. Accepting it all for what it is and being okay with it.
Leading and living from your heart space rather than your thinking mind and ego.
Deepening your intuition so you live from a higher energetic state.
Yoga is all this and more.
Yogas chitta vritti nirodha.
Yoga is the removing of the fluctuations of the mind. Yoga quiets the mind to cultivate stillness and connection to your higher self, and the present reality.
Dive deep into your practice and set a foundation for it to change you in ways you never imagined possible. Become vulnerable and open to receive the magic of yoga.
